Burning Desire ~ Her heart yearned to see him. She watched the boats bob in the water, up and down with a burning desire that he might come ashore for the night.Even a glimpse of his silhouette in the light would ease her solitude. Ferry Beach ~ Sophie ventured down to the beach. She could see his dog playing along the shore. Her heart sank...his mom was walking down beach in red. Maybe she brought the dog down to play. Oh wait! I think that's him in the small dingy...

Summer Friends~ Sophie awake her eyes all swollen from crying herself to sleep. She could hear the kids playing down by the beach.Peering out the window she watched as the waves rolled in and out, the salt air humid and thick. Her mind wandering as she smiled remembering all the fun she had collecting sand dollars with her brothers down at the beach. They would all form a line and wait for the waves...then jump into them falling over and giggling.It was times like this she missed not having a sister to talk to about girl...her thoughts were quickly interrupted as she heard a loud banging on her door.
